Con Edison Right-Of-Way Tree Work Scheduled from July through October

Con Edison is planning tree work along a portion of a 10 mile stretch of transmission lines in the Town of Yorktown.  The Company’s contractor is required to notify all neighbors abutting the ROW before work begins. The notification materials are currently being hand delivered to every property that borders the ROW, as well as others in the immediate area. The attachment is an informational brochure which is currently being distributed along with a detailed scope of work.

The Company estimates its contractor will begin mowing access roads and tower bases in early July. Herbicide work will begin in mid-July. Tree trimming and selective tree/brush removal(s) will begin (where necessary) in early August. All work is expected to be complete by early October.
