Rental Assistance and Foreclosure Prevention Programs

The Yorktown Community Housing Board wants to inform the Yorktown  community that there are programs available to offer financial assistance with eviction and foreclosure prevention.

The New York Emergency Rental Assistance Program (“ERAP”) offers direct payments to landlords for eligible renters who owe up to 12 or 15 months of back rent. It can also provide help with gas and electric utility payments for those who qualify because of COVID-19-related financial impacts.

The Westchester County Foreclosure Prevention COVID-19 Program can provide up to four months of mortgage/cooperative arrears for those who can demonstrate COVID-19 as the reason for their arrears and that they were up to date on their mortgages as of March 2020. For assistance contact:
